Fishing & Boating:
Patagonia Lake State Park/(520)287-6965, located 20 miles from Sonoita and Parker Canyon Lake/(520) 455-5847, located 17 miles from Sonoita provide excellent facilities for boating and fishing.
Camping:
The Coronado National Forest is available for limited, unimproved camping. Also, Parker Canyon Lake/(520) 455-5847, Patagonia Lake State Park/(520)287-6965 provides both RV and campsite facilities. The Patagonia RV Park/(520) 394-2491 provides full hook-ups.
Birding:
There are many exceptional parks and preserves where birdwatchers can see some of the rare and exotic birds that make their way into Arizona's Southeastern corner. They are The Nature Conservancy's Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve/(520) 394-2400, The Nature Conservancy's Ramsey Canyon Preserve/(520) 378-2785, Madera Canyon/(520) 625-8746, Empire Cienga Ranch/(520) 455-5522 and The San Pedro Riparian Nature Conservation Area/(520) 459-2555.
Golfing:
Three beautiful golf courses are open to the public including Kino Springs/(520) 287-8800, Rio Rico Resort & Golf Course/(520) 281-1901, and Tubac Country Club/(520) 398-2211.
Backroading, Hiking & Bicycling:
There are countless jeep trails, Forest Service roads, old mining roads and trails that will lead you to beautiful backroad countryside and breathtaking vistas. Some old roads require four-wheel drive vehicles. A special treat for hikers is the Arizona Trail, an historic trail that weaves its way through the state.
Horseback Riding:
